One of the largest hostas. Hybrid of Hosta montana f. macrophylla x Hosta 'Big John'. Produces large glaucous, wavy, corrugated leaves. Produces white flowers mid summer.
Care requirements: Grow in partial shade. Keep soil moist and feed regularly. Susceptible to slug damage, especially in the early stages of growth.
Tip: Line the bottom of the pot with fabric, so slugs cannot enter through the bottom of the pot. Smear vaseline around the outside of the pot so they cannot climb up the pot and as your hosta grows position it so the leaves are not near anything that will aid the slugs climbing onto the leaves.
